What’s Wrong With Society?

There’s a subtle yet insidious belief that pervades modern society that there is a right and wrong in what you do to other people. We have a tendency to think that it’s OK to do whatever we want with other people’s property, or what we take from them when we don’t get our own. Or, we think it’s okay to ask other people for permission before we commit a crime against them. These notions are in the same category as thinking that drug addicts should be excluded from society. For many of us in this world, this view is assumed to be absolute.

The reality is that everybody is equal in the eyes of the law. The crime you’ve committed isn’t in your head, so there’s no excuse for it. Society doesn’t regard you as superior, and that’s fine. But it does stand behind the law, and when someone commits a crime, the justice system takes into account the interests of society.Your rights don’t stop when you cross a border. If your rights are being violated, you can file a claim for compensation, even if you’ve only crossed one border. The law considers you as a victim of a crime, so it’s not enough to just cross a border.

You’re still a person under the law, and that doesn’t mean you’re disposable. Even if you crossed a boundary, you’re still entitled to be treated like a human being. That’s a fundamental principle of criminal law. A lawyer will tell you that it’s your responsibility to know what you’re doing, and to do the things you’re supposed to do in order to preserve your rights, because a violation of your rights may mean that you’re forced to go to jail.

Our justice system is based on these principles, and on the concept of tort laws, which deal with the damage that has been done to the victim. Some people think that, when something hurts their physical or mental health, they’re not responsible for it, but we find that assumption to be nonsensical. So even if you think that you are, make sure you file a tort claim in order to protect yourself from further damage. You have the right to protect your human rights and the rights of other people. That’s what tort law is all about. You should use it as a guide to avoid injustice and to promote justice and a fair society.
